Die Original Vögel
The band that can afford its own songs.
Die Original Vögel are a German Volksmusik (folk-pop, beer-tent) band from the Göppingen–Eislingen area, playing festivals and marquees since at least 2017. They have their own songs, and covers done «properly».

The brief described «three pages, no dates, no audio, no good photos». The reality was otherwise: an eleven-page site where nine pages were live but un-hooked — no link, yet online — carrying dated gigs, their MP3s, photos, and the story of their name in their own hand. It wasn't a material problem. It was an access one.

All of it had been «un-hooked» at an earlier relaunch, not deleted. So the work wasn't to write a new band — it was to hang what already existed back up.

A single page, anchor-navigable, rebuilt from their own material: five original songs — four now audible in full — their covers shown as a poster, each title as large as it fits its column; the story of their name in their words, the first pencilled lyric, and their gig archive.
The whole design is computed from a single colour, and speaks in their own «we»: their own songs, and «wenn schon Cover, dann aber zünftig» — if there are covers, let them be done properly.
The gig list corrects a research error of ours: this is not a band on pause — they play continuously, with dates already announced for this autumn. The list is deliberately marked as not exhaustive. It's a study: nothing launched, no results to show.
A band that had already said it all — it only needed hanging back up.
An independent design study, published with the band's permission.
