They had buried their truest line — a practice that wants to repair as little as possible.
Zahnheilkunde Mühlesgässle is the practice of Dr. Steffen Ecker and Dr. Volker Knorr in Eislingen, Germany — a twenty-year implant centre that presented itself as an ordinary family practice.
The practice had quietly become a serious implant centre: two master's degrees, an endorsement from Stiftung Warentest, twenty years at it. And still it introduced itself as a neighbourhood surgery. Not one treatment appeared in the menu. Its most honest line — to repair as little as possible and keep teeth healthy instead — was the last line of the fourth page, where almost no one arrives.
A dentist whose philosophy is to intervene as little as possible is, precisely, the reason someone would choose them. And it was exactly what didn't show. The work was not to modernise a website. It was to make something already true visible.
The last sentence of the fourth page became the first thing you read: «Wir wollen möglichst nichts reparieren müssen» — we would rather not have to repair anything. The visual direction came not from an idea but from their own photographs: natural light, white, and the green of the garden, from which the site's single colour was taken. The treatments finally entered the navigation. Errors that undercut their seriousness were corrected, and an implant figure that couldn't be verified was deliberately left unpublished.
What the practice already was — one that prevents before it repairs — can finally be seen from the first screen. This is a study, not a commission: nothing has launched, there are no results to show. Only a different reading of a business that was already right.
