Prendes
Prendes has an audience, a voice and a catch — and nowhere of its own to put them.
Prendes is a Mediterranean-specialities importer in Germany — wholesale and retail, built on fresh fish and wine — founded in 1967 by Manuel Prendes, a Spanish immigrant in Stuttgart. Today it's run by the third generation, across two halls; the fish arrives less than 48 hours from the sea.

Prendes publishes to a real, growing audience — thousands of Instagram followers — but has no destination: no link in the bio, its domain returns «site under construction», and the only complete legal notice lived on a subdomain rented for a 2022 giveaway. It isn't digitally invisible: it's that no one owns its digital self.

A vacuum does not stay empty. Because Prendes never published a canonical record, Google became the default truth, and today files them as an Italian restaurant, at the wrong postcode, with contradictory hours. Reach without a destination is spend without return.

The concept is «Prendes, told back to them»: a single page built from their own recovered vocabulary — «the hall, not the taverna»: pre-dawn blue, wet steel, and one warm thing, the coral. Its signature is a freshness board that retires itself: if no one updates it for three days, the «today» layer disappears — the page cannot lie by neglect. And the wine half is deliberately left incomplete: «Ausgesucht von: —», selected by, left blank, because a wine recommendation without a name is only a label.
Honestly, nothing yet: it's a speculative concept, «a question in the shape of a website», whose success would be the client correcting it, not admiring it. Nothing built into production, nothing launched, no results. The numbers shown are the audience Prendes already has, not something we produced; and the images are concept art, not photographs of their halls.
A site made to tell the truth — and to withdraw it when it stops being true.
